Rio Book Fair

Posted by Carlos on 30th August 2011

One of the most famous cities in the world, Rio de Janeiro will held its XV Book Fair, from September 1st to 11th. And we, of course, are going to be there.

Rio Book Fair started in 1983, in the pompous hotel Copacabana Palace. Since then, important and famous writers and great personalities from the publisher industry attended the fair. This year is not different.

Brazilian and foreign authors are coming to Rio to book signs, lectures and open dialogues. Among the guests, are: Ferreira Gullar, Mary Del Priore, Rubem Alves, Anne Rice, Marc Levy, Patricia Schultz and William P. Young.

Events like this serve to democratize reading habit and bring authors closer to its public. For us, it’s important to be there also to perceive how the discussions on children’s books and the digital market are.

You can read more about the Rio de Janeiro Book Fair here. Also, they created an app for iPhone really useful for those who are attending the event.

We invite you to get the news and what’s going on there by our Twitter and Facebook profiles, besides posts here.  After all, Rio de Janeiro can be much more than beaches and carnival.

Rio Book Fair - One program, many stories. We participate.
